Tennis and Paris, The Perfect Blend
It was January 26, 2014 when my favorite tennis player Rafael Nadal lost the finals of Australian Open. I was extremely disappointed on that day. I felt like breaking my television. But I had full faith in my player and it was that night only when I decided to watch the next Grand Slam as a spectator from stadium in Paris.
Roland Garros – The 2014 French Open was my destination now. I am lucky enough that my girlfriend also like the game of tennis. And we both agreed to visit Paris to watch the tennis tournament and spend some quality time together. I contacted my holiday planner and told him about my holiday plans. I also asked him few hotel names so that I can choose from them. But on that question, he said, “Hotel Le Lapin Blanc in Paris.” I urged him to suggest me few more but he assured me about the quality of that hotel. And we got a Superior Double Room booking in it.
Our flight was on time and a cab was already their at the airport to take us to our new home for the next two weeks. We passed by the Sorbonne University on the way and the hotel was nearby to it.
The hotel looked small to me but the moment we entered the hotel, my all thoughts changed. It was an amazingly beautiful hotel that I can not express in my words. It was not constructed but crafted to perfection. My girlfriend was lost but I hold her and headed to the reception. We were greeted very well by the receptionist and were given the room number and the keys. She was speaking English fluently and was later told that she knows many other languages like Japanese and Spanish.
The veranda, the stairs, the lifts, the walls and everything seemed so accurate just like masterpieces. As we entered the room, it looked so artistic and pleasant that we were delighted by our choice of room and planner`s choice of hotel. The first impression was hotel was very impressive and we were looking forward for the future days. We had a pleasant stay at hotel Le Lapin Blanc in Paris and we visited the all famous Eiffel Tower and many other places during those days. Nadal was winning all his matches and we were sure that he will reach the finals. We relished the breakfast in their special breakfast room. The hotel staff was very supportive and was their at our every call. The receptionist was able to arrange taxi for us every time we asked for.
And it was June 8, 2014, Nadal was one match away to regain his supremacy. We were very excited about the match, left early from hotel, reached the venue on time, occupied the seat and lived the most wonderful moments of our life in Paris. Nadal has won the match defeating Djokovic in four sets long match. I felt like I have won the grand slam and it was the time to go back. The hotel staff was their to say us good bye, they thanked us and we thanked them back. I witnessed the best game of my life and strengthen the relationship with my girlfriend. We are really grateful to Le Lapin Blanc Hotel in Paris to give us the most pleasant stay, we ever had, in any foreign country.
